The LivionKey Apaleo integration automates this final step. The reservation details needed for the handover flow from Apaleo to LivionKey, which creates the key contract, sends the PIN, and records keycard pickup and return.
How the Apaleo Integration Works
During setup, the hotel links each Apaleo room to the corresponding keycard stored in a LivionKey Key Automat.
Once Apaleo assigns a room to a confirmed reservation, LivionKey automatically prepares the keycard handover for the guest’s stay dates. The guest then receives a personal PIN by email or SMS.
The guest uses this PIN to collect the correct keycard and returns it to the Key Automat at the end of the stay. LivionKey records both the pickup and the return.
If enabled, returning the keycard can also trigger checkout in Apaleo. The hotel can decide whether to include this step in its workflow.
