Since its launch in 2018, LivionKey30 has continuously improved its mechanics, electronics, and computing platform while keeping the same intuitive and secure handover experience customers rely on.

To our customers, LivionKey Automats operate with the same proven reliability year after year. The user interface remains intuitive, and key handovers are handled with uncompromising security. Beneath the surface, however, our products are constantly evolving. We are committed to engineering systems that are increasingly efficient, durable, and intelligent.

This agile, continuous development is driven by our in-house engineering team. Having top-tier expertise in mechanics, electronics, and software under one roof allows us to seamlessly integrate our hardware and software into a unified ecosystem.

The Evolution of the LivionKey30 Automat – What Has Changed Under the Hood?

The first production version of the LivionKey30 Automat launched in late 2018. From day one, the hardware was engineered for absolute operational reliability—a standard proven by the fact that these original Automats are still serving our customers flawlessly today. Building on this rock-solid foundation, we have continually introduced targeted updates to further enhance performance, durability, and device lifespan:

Strengthening the Foundation (2019–2021)

  • Proactive Processing Power: Our hardware computing power has always been over-provisioned by design. Even so, we regularly upgrade our processors to ensure zero-latency usability and to guarantee the hardware remains fully capable of supporting future software features.
  • Upgraded Connectivity and Motor Control: We transitioned to 4G connectivity to guarantee reliable remote management. Simultaneously, updated circuit boards and new motor controllers made the mechanical movements both quieter and more precise.

A Leap in Mechanics and Structural Design (V2, 2022)

  • Larger Locker Compartments: We increased the physical dimensions of the individual compartments to easily accommodate bulkier keychains and access cards. The overall device dimensions were updated accordingly.
  • Reinforced Chassis and Anti-Theft Security: A more robust structural design, combined with a newly engineered wall bracket, makes physical tampering significantly more difficult, ensuring even higher security for stored keys.
  • Clearer Voice Guidance: Thanks to a redesigned circuit board and improved audio components, the system's spoken instructions are sharper and easier to understand, smoothing the handover process for first-time users.

Next-Generation Advancements (V3, 2025)

  • High-Precision, Durable Mechanics: Redesigned door mechanics and a new locker movement mechanism introduce extreme precision to the Automat's operation. This speeds up the delivery process while extending the physical lifespan of moving parts.
  • Enhanced Signal Strength: A next-generation circuit board featuring a built-in 4G modem and a high-performance antenna guarantees uninterrupted connectivity even in challenging installation environments with weak mobile networks.
  • Future-Proof Computing: The latest, significantly more powerful processor upgrade speeds up all current operations and ensures the hardware platform is completely ready to support upcoming software innovations.

Software Continuity – Ongoing Support for Early-Generation Hardware

Even as our latest Automats become mechanically and electronically more advanced, our device software is architected to support all hardware versions. We release regular software updates, developing new versions to run seamlessly on even our earliest hardware iterations.

This ensures that all customers benefit from new software features and enhancements, entirely regardless of which hardware generation they operate. We still have fully operational first-generation Automats in the field that have simply been upgraded to modern 4G connections during their lifecycle. Our customers can trust that their investment is secure and that we will continue to support their entire hardware fleet far into the future.
