## Content

Cellnex Sweden manages more than 3,000 telecommunications sites. An entrance may open by phone, but mechanical keys are often still needed inside the building.

Cellnex wanted to know who had each key and when it was returned. The solution had to work alongside iLOQ S50 without adding manual work.

## A Key Box Could Not Show Who Had the Key

A traditional key box did not show who had taken a key or whether it had been returned. Cellnex needed a better way to track the keys used inside its buildings.

> We saw a need to monitor the keys in the keyboxes, and the solution from Livion and iLOQ fulfilled our requirements
> Daniel, Operations and Maintenance, Cellnex Sweden

The solution had to be easy to use and keep working during disruptions. Cellnex also needed one place to see key status and access events.

## Opening the Door Starts the Key Pickup

When a user opens the entrance with an iLOQ S50 mobile key, LivionKey detects the door opening. The user then gets time-limited access to collect a mechanical key from the building's LivionKey30.

The pickup link arrives by SMS or email. The user selects the key they need and collects it from the LivionKey30. LivionKey records both pickup and return.

## Cellnex Sees Key Status in Real Time

Cellnex can see who has a key, when it is due back, and whether it has been returned. No manual updates are needed.

> We can track in real-time who has the key and when it's due back, and remotely check the status of all keys

The records update whenever a key is collected or returned.

## Start with What You Need

Daniel's advice is simple: first define how people enter the site, which keys they need, and what information you want to track.

> Look carefully at what you need. We wanted secure, robust integration without additional administrative hassle—and that's exactly what we got.
